We are Eggu
At Eggu Ltd we take your privacy very seriously. In order to provide access to the service we must collect and store some personal information about you.
Our products and user databases are held by TSOHOST from whom we purchase I.T. servers and services. Servers are located within the UK. Regular data and database backups are included in their hosting service.
Eggu does not make use of your personal data for marketing and does not share this data with any third party.
Our website address is: https://www.eggu.co.uk.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Basic user information is collected from you when you contact us via our contact form, including your full name, email address, telephone numbers and postal addresses. This information is collected for the sole use of the Company. It is stored securely on our computers and servers.
What is a ‘cookie’? When you enter a site, your computer will automatically be issued with a cookie. Cookies are text files that identify your computer to our server. Cookies in themselves do not contain any personal identifying information about a visitor or their location. They just identify the computer used. Many sites do this whenever a user visits their site in order to track traffic flows and patterns of behaviour of site visitors.
How long are cookies stored for?
Persistent cookies – these cookies remain on a user’s device for the period of time specified in the cookie. They are activated each time that the user visits the website that created that particular cookie.
Session cookies – these cookies allow website operators to link the actions of a user during a browser session. A browser session starts when a user opens the browser window and finishes when they close the browser window. Session cookies are created temporarily. Once you close the browser, all session cookies are deleted.
Cookies do lots of different jobs, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improve the user experience.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Google Analytics is set to collect data anonymously, with the IP anonymisation configuration setting activated and will not record the full IP address.
Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
Whilst your personal data forms part of the overall learning management system, we ensure that this is protected from file corruption and loss.
All our learning management sites and databases are continuously monitored by SUCURI for virus and malware protection, and data corruption etc. Their service includes the repair, recovery and removal of any intrusion.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
