Learning Content Designer Vacancy

We’re looking for a brilliant Learning Content Designer to join our small (but mighty!) creative team at Eggu.

We create digital learning for an incredibly varied mix of organisations – from household and high-street brands to global businesses, public sector organisations and charities.

One week you could be shaping an engaging staff induction programme for a much-loved retail brand. The next, scripting animated product training, bringing stories to life through video, helping charities connect with and support young people, or launching a digital marketing academy for a global business.

From designing tutorials that make complex software feel simple to finding creative ways to share important stories, no two projects are ever quite the same.

Your job? Help us find the best way to tell the story.

What you’ll do

You’ll sit at the heart of our projects, turning client briefs and often very complicated source material into clear, creative and engaging digital learning.

You’ll:

  • Shape the learning – working out what people really need to know and creating clear, intuitive learner journeys.
  • Write brilliant content – from storyboards and scripts to scenarios, activities and questions.
  • Bring ideas to life – working alongside our designers, illustrators, animators and developers to find creative ways to communicate ideas.
  • Work with our clients – joining meetings, asking good questions, working with subject matter experts and helping turn feedback into solutions.
  • Keep things moving – coordinating content, feedback, assets and approvals across the projects you’re working on.
  • See it through – reviewing projects as they’re built and helping make sure the finished experience is every bit as good as the idea we started with.

Who we’re looking for

Whether you’re just starting out or already have plenty of experience under your belt, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re not particularly interested in how many years you’ve been doing this or whether you’ve had exactly the right job title. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, a creative spark and a genuine enthusiasm to learn, contribute and grow with us.

We’re interested in how you think.

You’ll be a brilliant fit if you:

  • Love turning complicated information into something simple and human
  • Can really write
  • Instinctively think about the person on the other side of the screen
  • Have creative ideas about how people could experience content, not just read it
  • Are confident communicating with clients and asking questions
  • Are organised and comfortable juggling different projects
  • Enjoy collaborating, sharing ideas and having them challenged
  • Have a good eye for design, a knack for spotting the details and take pride in producing great work
  • Are curious, proactive and always looking for a better way to do something

Experience of digital learning and tools such as Rise, Storyline, Adapt, Adobe Creative Suite and AI would certainly be useful, but it’s not essential. We’re just as interested in someone with bags of potential who’s excited to learn on the job.

Ultimately, it’s about finding the right person for our creative team – someone who shares our enthusiasm for great work and wants to grow alongside us.

Life at Eggu

We’re a small agency, so there aren’t lots of layers between you, the client and the finished work.

You’ll be part of projects from the first conversation through to launch, working alongside the people actually designing, illustrating, animating and building them.

That’s also why this is a studio-based role. We like developing ideas together, scribbling things out, asking “what if we did this instead?” and creating something better because several brains got involved.

If you like variety, creative problem-solving and the idea of seeing something you sketched out on a piece of paper become a beautifully finished learning experience, you’ll probably feel very at home here.

The practical bits

£24,000–£32,000 depending on experience

We’re open to applicants at different stages of their careers, with salary reflecting the skills, experience and level of responsibility you bring to the role.

Full-time | Studio-based in Kent

Think you’ve got what it takes to crack this role?

To apply, send us:

  1. A quirky fact about yourself – The more unexpected, the better!
  2. Your creative wildcard – If you could turn any everyday skill into a five-minute interactive learning experience, what would you choose and how would it work? Think outside the box! A short paragraph is plenty – we’re more interested in your ideas than a polished proposal.
  3. Your CV and portfolio (if you have one) – Examples of writing, creative projects or learning content are equally welcome.
